Q: What is the function of gloves?

 

A:

Glove material for mechanical damage
(1) Wire - common stainless steel wire, but also chromium wire, mainly used to make anti-cutting gloves. This kind of material has the strongest cutting resistance and is easy to clean, but it is heavy and inconvenient to use.
(2)Kevlar, Spectra and other synthetic yarn - is also a better synthetic fiber cutting resistance material, although the cutting resistance is not as good as metal wire, but light, comfortable to use, and after improvement and treatment, some products can also reach the highest grade of anti-cutting product standards.
(3) Nitrile (with fabric lining) - with anti-wear and anti-puncture properties, flexible and comfortable use.
(4) Natural latex (with fabric lining) - has excellent elasticity, especially flexible, and has certain anti-wear, anti-tear and anti-cutting properties.
(5)PVC (with fabric lining) - can provide a certain amount of wear and puncture protection, if the material is thicker, it can also have a certain amount of cutting resistance, but not tear resistance.
(6) Skin - natural material, through a variety of tanning treatment, with unique properties. Leather can be divided into: cowhide, which is comfortable, durable, breathable and wear-resistant, corroded by chromium, is more durable and resistant to high temperatures; Pig skin, large pores, the best air permeability, after washing can still maintain a good softness, without hardening; Sheepskin is the most comfortable, the most durable and the best wear resistance, but because the price is too expensive, it is generally only used in industries with high touch requirements.
High temperature resistant material
(1)Novoloid - a new high-tech synthetic fiber, non-melting, flame resistance, high temperature resistance, can resist high temperature up to 1100℃, soft and comfortable, and can resist the erosion of many chemicals, even after repeated washing will not affect its high temperature resistance.

(2)Kevlar - is a widely used aromatic synthetic fiber, not only can resist cutting, but also can resist high temperature damage.

(3) aluminum-plated material - resistant to high temperature radiant heat.

(4) leather - if kept dry, has good low temperature resistance, at the same time, its non-melting, non-burning characteristics make it often used to make welding gloves.

(5) Cotton - is also a natural material, can properly protect against high and low temperatures. However, due to the need to meet the protection requirements, the gloves are thicker and the flexibility is not good enough.

Electrical damage resistant material
Electrical insulation gloves are usually made of pure natural latex. There are two kinds of latex, dry and wet. Insulating gloves made of wet glue have a long processing cycle and high production costs, but the elasticity of the product is particularly good and the use is very flexible. In addition, due to the particularity of live work and the characteristics of electrical insulation gloves themselves, when wearing such gloves, you should first wear pure cotton gloves (sweat absorption, non-slip), then wear latex gloves, and finally wear epithelial protective gloves to prevent sharp objects from punctured insulation gloves.
